On May 23, 2007 the SWC celebrated it's 7th anniversary with a TROPICAL NIGHT at the beach of the GRAND ROTANA RESORT & SPA. More than 60 people celebrated the 7th birthday of the club (after a frustrating late ticket sale....) at an outstanding beautiful place, with hot music, great food and a dazzling and contagious dance show by Sharm’s “Queen of Dance” Maria Mota and Kris (thanks a lot to the two of you!!!). December 13, St. Lucia - the day of light and again time for the Sharm Women's Club Christmas Dinner. Our annual dinner took place at the Jolie Ville Royal Club "Bellevue" Lounge Bar and the "Zaman" Restaurant. Starting the evening with a welcome drink, gluehwine and canapes we got into the mood. Bea was selling tombala tickets. What a nice surprise! The money collected was used to cover costs for the website, emails, tips for this special evening and other costs which we still have despite the volunteer work of everybody. The Sharm Women's Club celebrated Christmas at the Italian Restaurant of the Concorde Hotel on December 13, St. Lucia - the day of light.The shuttle bus of the Hotel was waiting at the parking area at the Hotel entrance and brought everybody to the Restaurant. Sophie and Doro welcomed all or us, selling the tickets at the restaurant entrance. A warm Gluhwein (with and without alcohol) was ready to get us in the right mood. 59 women came to spent this evening together. This Anniversary has been celebrated as is fit for such an event, lots of women, lots of fun and surprises and good food. To start with, the party has been prepared in an unusual place, the Castello, Sharms own open air castle in the Hadaba area, next to the Alfa Laila waa Laila main gate, where we were hosted by Mr. Dino Ruffino, his daughter Marianne and their Team. By Dorothee Reinecke Beautiful weather, a blue sky and just a gentle breeze were the ideal conditions, which accompanied this years' Christmas Bazaar of the French School and the SWC on Friday December 10, 2004. For the 4th time this annual market attracted many Sharmers. The tables were filled with Christmas decorations, new fashion wear, beachwear, Bedouin handicrafts, Tupperware, potpourris, toys, the drawings of Sadea, candles, cookies, made by mothers and kids, and lots more.
