The Sharm Women's Club celebrated Christmas at the Moevenpick Golf on December 13, 2004. About 40 women were welcomed by Sophie and the hotel-team with a glass of Gluehwine. The Mandarin Restaurant, usually serving Chinese food, was lovely decorated according to this festive occasion. The tables were garnished with Christmas Stars, nuts, all kind of Christmas sweets, and even a small present for everybody. The gifts for the Christmas Cringle were put on a small table at the entrance and later on collected by Santa Claus. After some chitchat the feast began. The menue was just incredible, starting with Smoked Salmon and Garden Greens as an appetizer, followed by a Pumpkin Chowder Soup. The main course was the classic turkey with glazed potatoes, sauteed Brussel sprouts, carrots and green beans. And after all that an amazing Desert Buffet with Christmas Stollen & Pudding, Cheese Cake with Blueberries, Lemon Meringue Pie and many more sweets and cakes were awaiting us.
Santa Claus passed by after coffee and tea. Everybody got his little present of the Christmas Cringle. Three of us were specially lucky. Christiane, Kiki and Ranya received an extra Christmas present as they were the lucky winners of the tombola. The prizes of three nights in Luxor, one night with dinner in Cairo and 2 nights in El Alamein were donated by Moevenpick. It was a great evening and could not have been better. Our special thanks go to Markus Marti (GM Moevenpick) for hosting us, Markus Strieby (F&B Manager) for the excellent menue and last but not least to Sophie. Besides organising the dinner, she engaged Santa Claus, got the prizes for the tombola and the small St. Lucia candles for everybody. We enjoyed a wonderful evening ...
